Il presente regolamento si basa sulle seguenti competizioni:

La nuova tabella punteggi basa la propria costruzione sul concetto di "importanza della gara".
Questo concetto è stato elaborato tenendo conto del numero di coppie partecipanti e del numero di turni necessari ad acquisire la finale.
E' modo comune, infatti, quello di ragionare per "turni passati" o, nelle gare importanti, l'avere avuto accesso ai "24" (quarti di finale) o ai "12" (semifinale).
Per questo motivo abbiamo introdotto un coefficiente di rettifica del punteggio base relazionato al numero di turni a cui si è avuto accesso.
La tabella così strutturata consentirà, laddove verrà ritenuto utile, di introdurre il parametro delle "teste di serie" presenti.
Infatti una competizione sportiva acquisisce maggiore importanza, oltre al numero di atleti in pista, anche in base al numero di "teste di serie" (di atleti titolati) presenti. Per ora non è stato ancora introdotto il concetto delle "teste di serie".
Quindi la tabella sarà così strutturata:
Punteggio base per ogni coppia battuta = n. 10 punti
Coefficiente di rettifica turni superati = 1,x
(x è il numero di turni. 1 turno = 1,1; 2 turni = 1,2; 3 turni = 1,3; ecc.).
Premio semifinale, finale, podio.

I punti fissi denominati premio posizione verranno decurtati, a seconda del numero dei partecipanti, nei seguenti casi:
del 75% nel caso vi siano 3 partecipanti
del 50% nel caso vi siano 6 partecipanti
del 30% nel caso vi siano dal 7 a 12 partecipanti.
Price Money
Più di Euro 100.000,00 premi in denaro.
La premiazione finale sarà basata sul posizionamento nella Ranking List finale che conteggia i migliori tre risultati totali.

Limiti di età per le competizioni IDSF
Di seguito la tabella esplicativa delle limitazioni di età per singola categoria, secondo la regola 11 del Regolamento delle competizioni IDSF:

Solo per competizioni Open è stata istituita la categoria Under 21 dove i partner devono avere un'età compresa fra il 16° ed il 20° anno.
Unire due gruppi di categorie come la Juvenile I e Juvenile II così come la Junior I e Junior II è facoltativo. Le coppie della categoria Junior II possono ballare anche nella categoria Youth. Le coppie della categoria Youth e Senior possono ballare nella categoria Adulti. Non è consentito per le coppie appartenenti alla categoria Juvenile II di partecipare alle competizioni della categoria Junior I. In tutte le fasce d'età uno dei partner di una coppia può essere giovane, fatta eccezione per le categorie Senior I e Senior II.
Competizioni IDSF Open Rising Stars
Le competizioni OPEN con lo status di "Rising Stars" possono essere organizzate per la categoria Adulti. Le coppie posizionate dal 1° al 50° posto della IDSF World Ranking List non possono partecipare a questo tipo di competizioni.

The new score table is based on the concept defined as “importance of the competition”. The said concept has been developed considering the number of couples taking part in the competition and the number of rounds to the final.
In fact, it is usual to evaluate the won rounds or, with regards to important competitions, the admittance to the round of "24" (quarterfinal) or "12" (semi-final).
Due to the above, we have therefore introduced a coefficient to modify the starting score on the basis of the number of rounds a couple wins.
The following table allows, if useful, to introduce the parameter of "top seeds" taking part in the competition.
In fact, the more a sports competition is important, the more athletes compete and the more "top seeds" (prominent athletes) take part in the same competition.
At the moment, the concept of "top seeds" has not yet been introduced.
So the table is arranged as follows:
Starting score for each couple beaten = 10 points
Coefficient for each round won = 1,x
(x is the number of rounds. 1 round = 1,1; 2 rounds = 1,2; 3 rounds = 1,3; etc.).
Additional points (position bonus) for semi-final, final, podium.

The fixed points called position bonus will be reduced on the basis of the number of participants, as follows:
75% reduction in case of 3 participants
50% reduction in case of 6 participants
30% reduction in cases when the participants are between 7 and 12.
Price Money
More than Euro 100.000,00 as price money.
The final award will depend on the position in the final ranking list, which counts the best three total results.

Age restrictions for IDSF competitions
See following table explaining the limitations of age for each category in accordance with Rule 11 of the IDSF competition regulations:

Only for OPEN competition was established Under-21 category, where the partners must be aged between 16th and 20th year old.
Putting two age groups together, such as juvenile I and II as well as Junior I and II to one joint age group is optional.
Junior I couples are allowed to compete in Junior II, Junior II couples are allowed to compete in Youth, Youth couples and Senior couples are allowedto compete in competitions of the Adult age group if wanted.
It is not allowed that Juvenile II couples compete in Junior I age group on the reason of the syllabus.
In all age groups one partner of a couple can be younger, except in the Senior I and Senior II age group.
IDSF Open Rising Stars competitions
Open Competitions with the status “Rising Stars” can be held as “IDSF Open Rising Stars Competitions” in the age group Adult.
Couples on the places 1 to 50 of the actual IDSF Computer World Ranking List are not allowed to participate in these “IDSF Open Rising Stars Competitions”.
