L'idea di creare un percorso a Tappe, per realizzare il Gran Premio della danza sportiva, è nata dalla FIDS - Federazione Italiana Danza Sportiva e dal suo presidente Ferruccio Galvagno, al fine di valorizzare competizioni che, in differenti nazioni d'Europa, possono offrire agli atleti la possibilità di essere valutati su più prove.
La gara di Dancesport Grand Prix del 2009, svoltasi a Rimini, ha avuto - pur essendo la prima edizione - uno straordinario successo di partecipazione e di pubblico.
Inserita a conclusione dei Campionati Italiani di Categoria che si svolgono annualmente a Rimini presso il bellissimo quartiere fieristico, Dancespor Grand Prix 2010 si svolgerà nei giorni
3, 4, 5, 6 Giugno 2010
Le prove del Grand Prix sono, per l'anno 2010, Madrid, Malta, Mègeve, Linz. La gara di Rimini sarà la Gran Finale 2010 che assegnerà un montepremi di € 100.000,00 (centomila euro).
Il Grand Prix, oltre all'opportunità di gareggiare durante i primi mesi dell'anno al fine di programmare la propria stagione agonistica in maniera ottimale, consente alla FIDS di monitorare il rendimento dei propri atleti.
A partire da gennaio le coppie di classe AS avranno la loro nuova Ranking Internazionale, basata sulla loro partecipazione alle gare del Dancesport Grand Prix costituito dai seguenti appuntamenti:
a Rimini verranno consegnati i premi in denaro per le migliori coppie al GRAND PRIX.
Il regolamento della Ranking list applicato è lo stesso delle graduatorie nazionali italiane relative ai circuiti di Coppa Italia e Campionato Italiano.
Verranno conteggiati, al fine dell'assegnazione dei premi in denaro e del risultato finale, ii migliori due risultati sommando la finale di Rimini che è a partecipazione obbligatoria.
FIDS - the Italian Dancesport Federation - and its President, Mr Ferruccio Galvagno, had the idea to organize the Dancesport Grand Prix as a course made up of various events in order to enhance the importance of competitions that could give the athletes the possibility to be judged on the basis of different contests in several European countries.
The 2009 Dancesport Grand Prix competition in Rimini met the athletes' and the public's great approval.
The 2010 Dancesport Grand Prix competition has been scheduled for
June 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th 2010
at the end of the Italian Category Championship, which takes place every year in Rimini at the beautiful exhibition centre.
With regards to year 2010, the Grand Prix competitions are located in Madrid, Malta, Mègeve, Linz.
The competition in Rimini will be the 2010 Grand Prix final and at the end of the said event the winners will be awarded the prize money amounting to € 100.000,00 (one-hundred-thousand euro).
The Grand Prix gives the athletes the opportunity to compete during the first months of the year and, therefore, to organize at best their sport season and enables FIDS to monitor its athletes' performances.
Starting from January, AS-class couples will have their new International Ranking list based on the results obtained at the following Dancesport Grand Prix competitions.
In Rimini, the Grand Prix best couples will be awarded the prize money.
The Ranking list regulation is the same applied to the Italian national ranking lists referring to the Italian Cup and the Italian Championship.
For the prize money award and the final result, it will be added the best two results and the one obtained at the competition in Rimini, which the athletes must take part in.
